Build a Biz Kids is officially a registered charity!!!
One of the reasons why we are so excited about this development is because the Build a Biz Kids team is comprised of more than 60 volunteers, all of whom have been contributing to the process of becoming a registered charity in one way or another. This change from non-profit to charity means more to us than simply a new classification; it is the product of hard work and dedication by a group of people inspired under a common vision.
Build a Biz Kids is pushing the boundaries of traditional education, offering kids of all backgrounds access to practical education that prepares them for a continuously evolving world. This is accomplished through the development of cutting-edge curriculum, advanced teaching methodologies, and progressive technologies such as virtual reality and proprietary software. The educational content and hands-on activities are focused on building foundational soft skills, such as communication, leadership, and critical thinking, as well as fostering an entrepreneurial spirit in kids aged 7-14.
The charitable purpose that Build a Biz Kids is advocating for, beyond the advancement of education, is the reduction and eventual elimination of the digital divide. This is the gap between those who have access to necessary technologies and high-speed internet, and those who do not. The volunteers at Build a Biz Kids who hold the title “Advocate for Change” are working with various organizations and partners to identify the root causes and develop strategies to tackle this societal issue.
Build a Biz Kids also upcycles computers provided by local organizations and collects donations that are used to purchase new computers, which are then passed on to families in need. To date, Build a Biz Kids has donated 45 computers to families and kids, and this number continues to rise. As a charity, Build a Biz Kids is able to issue official donation receipts to our donors, which are tax deductible for individuals and corporations alike.
