Grant Overview: The Canadian Future-Ready Education Grant (CFREG) helps you bring engaging, real-world learning into your classroom or community—at no cost. These programs are designed to inspire students and give you ready-to-use tools that make teaching easier and more impactful.
With CFREG, your students will:
- Explore future-ready topics such as entrepreneurship, financial literacy, digital literacy, public speaking, and innovation.
- Develop over 70 essential soft skills like confidence, resilience, leadership, and problem-solving—skills that support both academic success and mental health.
- Connect learning to real life with hands-on experiences that are fun, memorable, and easy to integrate with your curriculum.
Every program comes with step-by-step lesson guides, student materials, and educator support so you can focus on what matters most: sparking curiosity and building confidence in your students.

What’s Included: Each approved school or organization receives an in-kind grant package of 10 commercial licenses to the entire BizKids classroom library of programs and physical materials. These assets are valued at $19,960. This grant is designed to be a significant investment in your students, community, and educators, provided at no cost to you, thanks for our generous community funders and donors.
Your package includes:
- Full access to BizKids programs covering:
- Entrepreneurship & Business
- Financial Literacy
- Digital Literacy
- Public Speaking
- Emotional Intelligence & Innovation
- Ready-to-run lesson plans, student workbooks, kids teaching kids videos, visual slideshows, parent communication and facilitator resources
- 10 Logins to Access to the BizKids HQ digital platform for online delivery and educator support
- Physical program materials (available in limited quantities each grant cycle)
This grant is designed to be fully turnkey—simply open the box (or log in online) and start empowering your students.
Eligibility – You must be a public school, registered non profit, registered charity, public library, or community recentre. Any representative of your organization is able to complete the application, however we must have an employee of the school or organization to sign off on the grant.
For example, a PAC member or Board Member may complete the application, however and employee of the school (ex teacher or principal) or employee of the organization (ED, Program coordinator, etc) would need to be on the application as the authorized signatory.
Private schools or for-profit organizations do not qualify as they do not meet our accessibility requirement.
Annual Requirements: To keep your grant active each year, your school or organization must meet the following requirements. If you do, your grant will be automatically renewed for the next year—no reapplication needed.
- Student Participation – A minimum of 50 students must take part in BizKids programs between July 1, 2026 and June 30, 2027.
- Examples:
- One teacher runs 2 programs for 25 students each.
- Two teachers each run 1 program for their classes of 25 students.
- Multiple after-school programs combined reach 50+ students.
- Exceptions: Indigenous communities and rural/remote schools may qualify for reduced minimums, reviewed case by case.

- Inclusivity
- Programs must be open to all students without discrimination.
- Barriers to participation should be minimal. If a small fee is charged, it must only cover costs (no profit) and remain affordable.
- Program Use
- BizKids programming is for your approved school or organization only. Distribution to third parties is not permitted without written consent.

- Reporting
- An annual final report on program use and student reach must be submitted (see Reporting & Annual Approval section).
Reporting & Annual Reapproval: At the end of each grant cycle, approved schools and organizations are required to complete a Final Report (provided by Build a Biz Kids). This report takes between 8-12 min to complete on average and confirms that your annual requirements have been met. It also provides you the opportunity to provide stories of your students and share feedback on the programs and materials.
Schools and organizations that meet the requirements and complete their Final Report by the deadline are automatically renewed for the next year—no need to reapply.
Important Dates:
- Grant Opens: Oct 29, 2025
- Grant Deadline: March 27, 2026
- Application Approvals & Communication Start: March 2026
- All materials and approvals will be completed before June 2026 so that programs can start to be run as of Summer 2026 for approved schools & organizations
