We're thrilled to share a milestone that means the world to us: our Canadian Future Ready Grant has now reached educators in our 9th province, bringing hands-on entrepreneurship programming to even more classrooms, communities, and youth across the country.
From coast to coast, teachers are using the grant to bring BizKids programs to their students—giving children the chance to dream up an idea, build a real plan, and learn what it means to bring something to life. With this latest expansion, that opportunity is now within reach for classrooms in Prince Edward Island, joining educators in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, and Nova Scotia.
Why This Milestone Matters
Entrepreneurship potential exists everywhere. That's why we're committed to reaching students in small towns and rural communities, ensuring they have access to the opportunities, mentorship, and resources they need to explore their ideas and build confidence as future entrepreneurs.
That's exactly why the Canadian Future Ready Grant exists: to make sure a child's postal code doesn't determine whether they get to learn skills like budgeting, problem-solving, communication, and resilience. Every teacher who applies is opening a door for their students that might not have existed otherwise.
Reaching a 9th province isn't just a number to us—it's proof that this mission is working exactly the way we hoped it would.
What the Grant Makes Possible
For educators, the Canadian Future Ready Grant removes one of the biggest barriers to bringing entrepreneurship education into the classroom: cost. Teachers who are approved receive full access to BizKids programming, designed to help students:
- Build confidence in speaking up and sharing ideas
- Learn the basics of budgeting, planning, and problem-solving
- Practice resilience by testing ideas, adjusting, and retrying
- Discover what it feels like to turn an idea into something real
For many children, especially those in smaller or under-resourced communities, this is their first real introduction to entrepreneurial thinking—and often, the first time an adult has told them their idea is worth building.
Access Matters, Everywhere
Growth like this doesn't happen by accident. It happens because donors, partners, and community leaders believe that every child, regardless of where they live, deserves the chance to build Future-Ready skills that will serve them for life. Reaching smaller regions takes more coordination, more outreach, and more heart, and we're grateful to everyone who has helped make it possible. This is what "Building Canada's Future Together" really looks like: one province, one classroom, one grant application at a time.
What's Next
We’re not stopping at nine. Our goal is to see the Canadian Future Ready Grant available to teachers in every province and territory, so that no matter where a child grows up in Canada, they have the same shot at discovering what they’re capable of.
Applications will open again in Fall 2026.
