CIRO Is Bringing Investing to Youth!

Investing is entering the learning space for youth in a whole new way.

Build a Biz Kids is excited to announce Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) as our newest community partner, funding the development of a youth investing experience within our new Investor Labs.

This is a big step forward in bringing real-world financial learning to youth—and giving educators and parents the tools to support that learning too.

The Investor Labs are being developed as a growing library of hands-on experiences where youth can explore investing, financial literacy and the decisions behind how money grows. With CIRO's support, one of those experiences will introduce youth to the stock market through hands-on learning: exploring investments, evaluating value and risk, interpreting information and making informed decisions.

This brings a traditionally adult financial world into reach for youth. With CIRO's support, youth can start exploring investing now, building an early foundation for greater financial understanding and more informed decisions in the future.

Real-World Learning, Built for Youth

The value of this experience extends far beyond understanding stocks.

Youth will practise critical thinking, reading comprehension, decision-making and evaluating information while building an early foundation in financial literacy. Instead of financial concepts existing only as definitions, they become something young people can interact with and understand through experience.

And CIRO’s investment makes this possible.

The Investor Labs are designed for youth to explore and learn directly, while also providing educators and parents with resources to support the experience. Whether youth are learning independently or with guidance, they can actively explore investing concepts, make decisions and build their understanding at their own pace.

An Investment That Reaches Further

There is something powerful about giving young people access to knowledge earlier than generations before them had it.

CIRO’s support is helping turn that opportunity into something tangible.

As the Investor Labs continue to grow, this youth investing experience will become part of a larger library connecting youth with practical financial knowledge they can carry forward into adulthood.

We’re proud to welcome CIRO as a community partner and incredibly excited about what their investment will make possible for youth, educators and families.

CIRO isn’t simply funding a new learning experience. They’re helping give youth an earlier start on understanding the financial world they’ll grow into.
