Grant Overview: The Canadian Future-Ready Education Grant (CFREG) helps you bring engaging, real-world learning into your classroom or community—at no cost. These programs are designed to inspire students and give you ready-to-use tools that make teaching easier and more impactful.

With CFREG, your students will:

  • Explore future-ready topics such as entrepreneurship, financial literacy, digital literacy, public speaking, STEM and innovation.
  • Develop over 70 essential soft skills like confidence, resilience, leadership, and critical thinking, self awareness, communication —skills that support both academic success and mental health.
  • Connect learning to real life with hands-on experiences that are fun, memorable, and designed to integrate with your provincial mandated curriculum.

Receive Complete Programs & Resources For You & Your Students
Each approved public school or non profit organization receives an in-kind grant package of 10 commercial licenses to the entire BizKids classroom library of programs, as well as physical printed materials when available. These program licenses valued at $19,960/ year. 

This grant is being provided at no cost to you, your school, or students, thanks to our generous community funders and donors.

Your package includes:

  • Full access to BizKids programs designed for Grades 2-9:
    • KidPreneur Accelerator
    • KidTalks Public Speaking
    • Kids Course Creator
    • Build an Online Business
  • Ready-to-run lesson plans, student workbooks, program videos, visual slideshows, parent communication, activity and game materials, and access to other facilitator resources & training
  • 10 logins to access BizKids HQ; the digital platform that hosts programming & resources to deliver in the classroom
  • Physical program materials (available in limited quantities each grant cycle)

This grant is designed to be fully turnkey—simply open the box and log in online to start empowering your students.

Eligibility & Grant Requirements

Eligibility – You must be a public school, registered non profit, registered charity, public library, or community recentre. Any representative of your organization is able to complete the application, however we must have an employee of the school or organization to sign off on the grant.

For example, a PAC member or Board Member may complete the application, however and employee of the school (ex teacher or principal) or employee of the organization (ED, Program coordinator, etc) would need to be on the application as the authorized signatory. 

Private schools or for-profit organizations do not qualify as they do not meet our accessibility requirement. 

Student Participation – A minimum of 50 students must take part in BizKids programs between July 1, 2026, and June 30, 2027.
Examples:

  • One teacher runs 2 programs of 25 students each (they can be the same students).
  • Two teachers each run 1 program for their classes of 25 students.
  • After-school programs are run and 50+ students participate.

Exceptions: Indigenous communities and rural/remote schools may qualify for reduced minimum requirements, reviewed case by case.

Inclusivity & Accessibility

  • Programs must be open to all students without discrimination.
  • Minimal barriers for participation should be minimal, such as providing programs at no cost or an accessible fee. Providing access to those with mobility needs or learning support, etc. 


Program Use

  • BizKids programming is for your approved school or organization only. Distribution or use by third parties is not permitted without written consent from Build a Biz Kids.

Reporting & Annual Reapproval: At the end of each grant cycle, approved schools and organizations are required to complete a Final Report (provided by Build a Biz Kids). This report takes between 10-15min.

Annual Requirements for Annual Approval: To keep your grant active each year, your school or organization must meet the following requirements:

  • Complete the Annual Report by the deadline
  • Meet the minimum requirements of student reach and program use
  • Maintain a good standing with inclusivity, accessibility and use of copyright materials. 

Meeting these requirements each year will enable your school or organization to be re-approved automatically. There is no need to re-apply!

Grant Opens: Oct 29, 2025
Grant Deadline: March 21, 2026
Application Approvals & Follow Up Start: March 2026
All materials and approvals will be completed before the end of June 2026 so program access and materials can be in your hands before summer break.
