BizKids Practical Education ASSN, aka Build a Biz Kids, all started when someone decided to write a book about other incredible Entrepreneurial Leaders so she could share this knowledge with the world and hopefully help other striving entrepreneurs learn from some of the best in the business.
It was through this connection that old colleagues went to Starbucks for an interview on the book and the first seed was planted that would become Build a Biz Kids. Rather than sharing experiences of adults with other adults, what if we shared experiences of incredible KidPreneurs to inspire other striving KidPreneurs!
We believe that the earlier children can feel empowered & confident in their abilities as people, the greater chance that they will go on to make positive changes in their communities, families, and even the world!

A very proud father to a 9 year old and our incredible VP of Biz Kids Practical Education.
Braden comes to us from working as a Program Director & Project Manager for over 10 years at the YWCA, a large non profit association in the Vancouver, BC area.
His 9 year old is a child of unlimited ideas, ambition and confidence. Ethan has inspired his father in more ways than 1 but was certainly the catalyst for Braden becoming a strong advocate & partner with Build a Biz Kids.

Tressa Wood is the founder and CEO of Young Entrepreneur Learning Labs. Tressa has dedicated her career to building and growing businesses, helping to turn local start-ups into household names, including her role as VP of Operations with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? and CEO and Co-Owner with the very fashionable Men in Kilts.
After more than 20 years of leading organizations and streamlining business operations, she is now pursuing her new dream. Tressa aimed to start her daughters on an entrepreneurial path from a young age so they could follow their passions and enjoy the freedoms entrepreneurship provides, but it didn’t exist in textbooks. This led to the creation of Young Entrepreneur Learning Labs.
